Speaker
Prof. Christian Stigloher

Title
Getting the best from two worlds - mapping molecular and cellular identities to 3D EM volumes

Date and Time
Monday, May 13, 2019, 5pm (17 Hrs)

Location
University Hospital/ Venusberg campus
Biomedical Canter (BMZ), small lecture hall

The Core Facility Nanobodies cordially invites you to the first event of the lecture series “Emerging Technologies” organized by the core facilities of the University of Bonn.

Christian Stigloher is an outstanding expert on advanced electron microscopy techniques such as high pressure freezing, electron tomography, and correlated light and electron microscopy (CLEM). He uses these techniques in different model systems, such as zebrafish and C. elegans, to study synaptic architecture at the nanoscale in 3D. His special research interest is the use of CLEM to combine ultrastructure analysis with the localization of molecular factors to characterize synaptic function.

The talk will be followed by snacks and drinks and the opportunity to discuss with the speaker. For more information please visit the Core Facilities website: https://cores.ukb.uni-bonn.de/events/.
