Our research team works to understand the metabolic regulation and the role of tissue-resident lymphocytes in the maintenance of tissues homeostasis and during cancer development. Our aim is to uncover how dietary and host-derived metabolite availability influences immune cells in the tissues and the tumor microenvironment (TME). As the TME is metabolically challenging and immunosuppressive, our final goal is to support anti-tumorimmunity and improve treatment efficacy by targeting metabolic pathways.
