The overarching aim of my group is to understand the principles of resistance to cancer immunotherapies and to investigate the complex and dynamic interplay between tumor and immune cells in order to develop innovative and effective immunotherapeutic approaches that will improve the treatment of cancer patients. To achieve this, we are using preclinical cancer mouse models and patient-derived tumor material, employing cutting-edge genome editing and bioengineering technologies in combination with high-dimensional imaging approaches.
