Risk factors for infection and outcomes in infants with neonatal encephalopathy: a cohort study.

View this publicationThe focus of our research activities is studying mechanisms of perinatal brain injury and neuroprotection. We study the interaction of the peripheral (neutrophils) and central immune response (microglia) following hypoxia-ischemia and inflammation-sensitized hypoxia-ischemia. Employing a range of in-vitro and in-vivo models, we assess various neuroprotective strategies. Furthermore, our focus extends to neuroimaging, where we aim to enhance image sequences through ultra-low field MRI technology.
