ImmunoSensation members among "highly cited researchers"

Five scientists from ImmunoSensation2 are among the world's most cited researchers, annualy published by the information service provider Clarivate Analytics. Once more, Prof. Joachim Schultze (DZNE), Prof. Andreas Schlitzer (LIMES) and Prof. Eicke Latz (DRFZ), Prof. Jonathan Schmid-Burgk (UKB) and Thomas Bieber (UKB) are part of the impressive list.

According to the compilers of the ranking, the people on this list of ‘Highly Cited Researchers’ are among the world's most influential one per cent in their field. The list contains around 6,600 researchers from 59 countries. From Germany, 332 researchers have made it onto the list - including ten from the University of Bonn


The benchmark is the frequency with which scientific publications have been cited by other researchers in the last ten years (period from 2013 to 2023). For the analysis, the creators of the list divided the publications into 20 subject areas and introduced the ‘Cross-Field’ section, which lists researchers who have published in several subject areas.

The ranking is published annually by the ‘Web of Science Group’ and can be found here.

The two researchers have been picked as Henriette Herz Scouts by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Making Cancer Cells More Predictable: PRECISE Aims to Forecast Therapeutically Actionable Vulnerabilities

—Which genes and signaling pathways does a cancer cell require to survive? And which of these could serve as therapeutic targets? The pan-European initiative PRECISE aims to identify such vulnerabilities not only through labor-intensive laboratory experiments but also by predicting them using computational models. The UKB and the University of Bonn, represented by Prof. Dr. Maximilian Billmann and Prof. Dr. Jonathan Schmid-Burgk, are among the founding partners of the consortium. The scientific vision of the initiative has now been published in a commentary in Nature Genetics.
